The ASA science blog is your online resource for frequently asked questions about animal breeding at the ASA. For the past two years we have used a science forum to post brief summaries of topics concerning DNA testing, genetic conditions, and genetic evaluation in beef cattle. As many of the topics lend themselves better to a blog format, we decided to convert the ASA’s science forum to a science blog. We brought in all the posts from the forum and will continue to add new topics aimed to provide our readers with timely information concerning animal breeding. The Science Blog will still provide a platform for our readers to ask questions, comment, or communicate with one another about the topics posted. We hope you enjoy this new platform and let us know if you have a topic you would like to learn more about.
